5 Honduran Lempiras - is devoted to a sweet dish called "Rosquillas en miel" ("Honey fritters"), a traditional indigenous recipe during the Holy Week or the end of year festivities.
Eaten as an aperitif or as a dessert, this dish is made of donut dough, capadura, cinnamon and cloves.
5 Honduran Lempiras - is dedicated to Honduran "Nacatamales", a popular dish (also in neighboring Nicaragua), particularly during the Nativity celebrations at the end of the year.
This dish made of cornmeal, pork or chicken, cooked rice and potatoes, is cooked in banana leaves.
25 Honduran Lempiras - features a dish called "Sopa de tortas de pescado" ("Fish cake soup"), made with dried fish, coconut milk, cornmeal, eggs and tomatoes, eaten during the Holy Week, accompanied by white rice and lemon juice.
